Lisette Bedoya, pottery instructor at A Maker's Circle in Pottersville NJ, smiling at the pottery wheel while throwing a large clay vase

Lisette Bedoya, a Hunterdon County resident, is relishing the joys of nature and serenity found west of her native Hudson County. Pottery is an unwavering passion as an instructor sharing the love of mud with all ages for over twenty-five years teaching primarily at the Visual Arts Center of NJ in Summit and currently sharing her time at more studios, Flemington Pottery, Old Borough Hall Pottery in High Bridge, A Maker’s Circle in Pottersville and Propagate in Stewartsville. An artist who typically creates functional pieces on the potter’s wheel, for Lisette, the ancient firing method of Raku is a cherished way to produce decorative pieces. Demonstrating Raku firings for crowds at the Visual Arts Center is an added joy to teaching and sharing the passion of mudslinging with others.
