A Class on Mending Techniques to Make Your Favorite Clothing New Again!

March 24, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$80.00

A Maker’s Circle is inspired to make 2021 the year of Slow Fashion.  Susan and I are trying to buy from socially and ethically responsible companies and up-cycling our clothes wherever possible through dyeing, mending and re-imagining them.  Check out our blog posts on slow fashion.

This class will give you the knowledge to repair those well worn, well loved items that are showing their age.  Do you have rips in those favorite jeans, moth holes in that favorite sweater?  We will show you how to repair them with a creative flare.

Jackie Pankuck & Susan Palmer will teach you mending techniques like darning and patching with boro cloth stitches that can be used to fix many types of clothes. You can be “loud” or “quiet” with your choice of mending techniques depending on your style.

All mending materials will be provided.  You just need to bring clothing that needs mending. We will also provide swatches for you to practice on and take home. No experience necessary.
