Day 1 & 2: Building Your Figures

• Ceramic artist  Jeanine’s simplified sculpting techniques for creating heads from small clay balls

• Learn to craft essential facial features: eyes, noses, mouths, and ears

• Discover her signature teeth-making technique for added character

• Explore simple expression-building methods

• Create bodies using slab rolling or coil building techniques

• Complete two unique figures during the workshop

Follow-up Friday: Bringing Life to Your Sculptures After your pieces are bisque fired during the week, return for the finishing session to learn:

• Underglaze wash techniques for realistic skin tones

• Eye and lip painting methods

• Final glazing for a professional finish

This workshop welcomes all skill levels—some clay experience is helpful but not required. It’s an ideal introduction to basic figure-making techniques while emphasizing creativity and fun over perfection.
