I come from a long line of Irish “makers” of arts and crafts from textiles to cooking to sketching, photography, painting and more! My mother and grandmother were master seamstresses, who I watched as a child in Ireland.
Since that time, both drawing and painting have become my pastime of choice, whether it be working on my own art or teaching skills to others in our studio. There is such joy for me in seeing a student create art, particularly students who believe they have “no talent”.
My own creative studies began in drawing at the Art Student’s League in NYC and has morphed into watercolor, studying under amazing painters like Andy Evanson & Dan Marshall.
