SUMMARY:Dan Marshall: Plein Air in Beautiful Kennebunk\, Maine
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nThis incredible 3 1/2 day workshop will bring us all to gorgeous Kennebunk\, Maine at the best time of the year to be there\, September!  The weather is gorgeous and the scenery is ever more spectacular from coastal vistas\, rocky beaches and harbors to the quaint town Kennebunk itself \, we will explore it all with Dan. \n \nEach day Dan will teach through 2\, 1 hour demos as a road map for instruction. While Dan’s demos will give you a clear path of the process\, you are more than welcome to choose to paint your version of the scene. The workshop emphasis is always on giving you the tools to make confident\, creative decisions in your own work. You’ll receive personal\, one-on-one guidance throughout. \nWe will have a first session on Thursday\, September 24\, 2025 starting at 9am and we will paint each day through the morning of Sunday September 27. \nYou will need to book your own lodging but there are many options from hotels\, to b&bs to AirB&bs to choose from. This series will cover skills needed by the watercolor artist to manage the paint better so you can enjoy your painting time. \nThis 6 week look at fundamentals includes: \n\nPigment strength – when\, where and how is a critically important in watercolor. Without this knowledge your paintings will look anemic and flat.\nColor Mixing – how to get the color you want\, fast.\nEdges – edge control is all about timing and pigment strength. Without this skill you paintings will be either washed out or too chaotic.\nDeconstructing a scene for the best watercolor outcome. You have to learn how to “see” and scene\, deconstruct the layers and form a strategy for executing it.\n\n \nCancelation: Studios cancelling more than 1 week ahead of the series start\, will receive a full refund.
