SUMMARY:Drawing for Painting with Jackie Pankuck: Fridays\, Sept-Nov\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:This drawing class is designed for painters and will focus on rendering a scene with just enough specificity to be the skeleton for a future painting. We will focus on the following concepts: \n\ncontour drawing\nobservational skills\, scale and proportion\nproportion and measurement\, gridding\nutilizing negative space to get the positive shapes right\nand the dreaded…perspective\n\nSpecific dates are: 8 weeks\, Oct. 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, Nov. 6\, 13\, 20. \nStudents will utilize photo references to create drawings that can be later used for paintings. \nAll materials will be provided for creating a preparatory drawing for 1/4 sheet watercolor paintings. If students want to prep drawings for additional future paintings\, please bring additional watercolor paper for that purpose. \nCancelation Policy:  \nStudents cancelling outside one week before the beginning of the session will be refunded in full. Inside one week\, tuition is non-refundable as materials and instructors must be paid.

DESCRIPTION:Marc Folly is an international\, award-winning artist who’s approach to watercolor is unique to him. His students benefit greatly from seeing the medium through his eyes. \nHe is a lover of strong lights and deep\, powerful colors\, Marc Folly is inspired by unusual subjects with complex and textural elements that often stem from the more mundane aspects of his encounters. Whether it be in urban or industrial\, he strives to reveal imprints of human labor in various types of workshops.
