SUMMARY:Drawing for Painting with Jackie Pankuck: Fridays\, Sept-Nov\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:This drawing class is designed for painters and will focus on rendering a scene with just enough specificity to be the skeleton for a future painting. We will focus on the following concepts: \n\ncontour drawing\nobservational skills\, scale and proportion\nproportion and measurement\, gridding\nutilizing negative space to get the positive shapes right\nand the dreaded…perspective\n\nSpecific dates are: 8 weeks\, Oct. 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, 30\, Nov. 6\, 13\, 20. \nStudents will utilize photo references to create drawings that can be later used for paintings. \nAll materials will be provided for creating a preparatory drawing for 1/4 sheet watercolor paintings. If students want to prep drawings for additional future paintings\, please bring additional watercolor paper for that purpose. \nCancellation Policy: \nAny student canceling more than 1 week before the start of class will be refunded. Please note\, however\, that we incur a small transaction fee for all online signups. That  amount will be subtracted from your refund. \nFor students wanting to cancel within 1 week of a class\, please be aware that your tuition is non refundable. You can pass your spot on to a friend however\, Just let us know in advance.

DESCRIPTION:Date: October 2nd\, 2026  \nTime: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM  \nLocation: A Maker’s Circle\, Pottersville\, NJ \nJoin us for a hands-on natural dyeing workshop using beautiful flowers and dye plants grown by Blair Bellis on her farm in Bedminster\, NJ. We’ll explore the magic of turning flowers into natural color and create something beautiful to take home — no experience needed\, just a little curiosity. Come enjoy a creative evening surrounded by flowers\, good company\, and a little bit of farm-grown magic. \n🌿 What You’ll Learn  \nDuring this workshop\, Blair will take you through the entire natural dyeing process from growing the plants\, making the dye bath\, mordanting\, dyeing\, and design. You’ll learn: \n\nWhich materials and plants work best for natural dyeing\nHow to bundle dye with flowers\nShibori folding and other dyeing techniques\n\nEach guest will make a set of four 20″ x 20″ cotton napkins\, dyed and designed by hand. Blair’s process gives you the freedom to experiment and have plenty of fun along the way. \n🌸 The Instructor: Blair Bellis is a local farmer and holistic nutritionist living and growing in Bedminster\, NJ. Her workshops bring the farm straight into the studio\, sharing the plants she grows and the natural dyeing techniques she’s cultivated along the way. \n🫖 Farm-Fresh Snacks: Enjoy fresh veggies from Blair’s farm and a selection of herbal tea made from plants that she has grown while you create.
