Supper Club: Couple’s Sequencing Oil Painting for Valentine’s Day
February 9, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Saturday, February 9: 6:30pm-9:30pm
This is a couple’s art experience you don’t want to miss. “Sequencing” is a new approach to oil painting developed by Ric Campman at The River Gallery School in Brattleboro, VT. Ric was a co-founder of the school 35 years ago, and developed this technique in 2004.
It is a way for complete beginners and experienced art makers to enjoy the process of painting at a deep level. The beauty of this process is that it interrupts any creative self-judgement and reminds the students that creativity is an integral part of each of us and can bring great joy to our lives.
Sequencing emphasizes metaphor, color, light, the horizon, the physical encounter with paint (no brushes are used), and of course awareness and its counterpart, looking.
Refreshments, wine and dinner served.
