This class is for all levels of student. If you are a beginner, this class will introduce you to the basics of making and wedging balls of clay, centering, opening and pulling up the walls to form a cylinder. From a cylinder you are able to create almost any functional form including cups, bowls and vases. This class will also teach you how to trim and glaze your finished thrown piece. As an experienced thrower, you can explore altering thrown pieces, replicating thrown forms, and honing specific skills for a more productive studio practice. Saturday morning open studio time is also included.
