Painting Flowers in Oil with Artist, Yana Beylinson, A Two Day Workshop

Painting Flowers from a Photo Reference
October 4 & 5
For artists of all levels working in oil (or acrylic) – join artist Yana Beylinson for an immersive two-day workshop where you’ll transform floral photo references into expressive works of art. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this hands-on class will guide you through the process of translating photographs into bold, vivid paintings. Working from printed images (yours or provided), you’ll learn how to:
- Use a grid to accurately transfer your composition
- Build a strong structural underdrawing
- Mix color with precision and intention
- And most importantly—apply brush strokes with confidence and energy, using big brushes.

You are welcome to email your own floral photo references before the workshop at ybeylins@gmail.com so they can be printed appropriately, or simply print work from the curated selection provided. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only have completed a floral painting but also gained a toolkit for bringing vitality and movement to any photo reference in your future work.

Spaces are limited—sign up to reserve your spot!
