Join us for a hands-on natural dyeing workshop using beautiful flowers and dye plants grown by Blair Bellis on her farm in Bedminster, NJ. We’ll explore the magic of turning flowers into natural color and create something beautiful to take home — no experience needed, just a little curiosity. Come enjoy a creative evening surrounded by flowers, good company, and a little bit of farm-grown magic.
🌿 What You’ll Learn
During this workshop, Blair will take you through the entire natural dyeing process from growing the plants, making the dye bath, mordanting, dyeing, and design. You’ll learn:
- Which materials and plants work best for natural dyeing
- How to bundle dye with flowers
- Shibori folding and other dyeing techniques
Each guest will make a set of four 30″ x 30″ 100% cotton tea towels, dyed and designed by hand. Blair’s process gives you the freedom to experiment and have plenty of fun along the way.
