Watercolor Skills: 8-Part Class with Artist, Jackie Pankuck
January 20, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Thursday, repeating until March 10, 2022

Watercolor has been called the most difficult painting medium. There are so many variables to contend with in any painting, whether it is with how much water to pigment ratio you are using, or when you use it and how wet is your paper at that moment. In this series, we will focus in detail on these issues.
Over 8, 2 hour classes, we will focus on eight different skills that will help bring your watercolor painting (and drawing) to a new level. This is a great series that breaks down what you need to enjoy watercolor and paint in a loose, impressionistic manner. The topics include:
- Controlling the amount of water and pigment as you paint.
- Choosing the colors, detail and temperature to communicate correct perspective.
- Painting figures.
- Painting boats and cars.
- A primer on faces.
- Mixing Colors – your own library of color recipes.
- Why value is critical to a good painting and how to manipulate it.
- How to plan out your piece for the greatest freedom in painting it.
All materials will be provided and all levels of expertise are welcome.
Cancellation Policy: Students will be refunded in full up to one week prior to the class date. No refunds will be offered within a week of the beginning of the series.
