Learning and mastering the fundamentals is critical whether you are new to watercolor or already painting.  There are critical skills that every painter needs to maker their work more fresher and more sophisticated. This series will cover skills needed by the watercolor artist to manage the paint better so you can enjoy your painting time.

This 6 week look at fundamentals includes:

• Pigment strength – when, where and how is a critically important in watercolor. Without this knowledge your paintings will look anemic and flat.
• Color Mixing – how to get the color you want, fast.
• Edges – edge control is all about timing and pigment strength. Without this skill you paintings will be either washed out or too chaotic.
• Deconstructing a scene for the best watercolor outcome. You have to learn how to “see” and scene, deconstruct the layers and form a strategy for executing it.
