Drawing for Painting with Jackie Pankuck: Fridays, Sept-Nov, 2026

This drawing class is designed for painters and will focus on rendering a scene with just enough specificity to be the skeleton for a future painting. We will focus on the following concepts:

• contour drawing
• observational skills, scale and proportion
• proportion and measurement, gridding
• utilizing negative space to get the positive shapes right
• and the dreaded…perspective

Specific dates are: 8 weeks, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20.

Students will utilize photo references to create drawings that can be later used for paintings.

All materials will be provided for creating a preparatory drawing for 1/4 sheet watercolor paintings. If students want to prep drawings for additional future paintings, please bring additional watercolor paper for that purpose.

Cancellation Policy:

Any student canceling more than 1 week before the start of class will be refunded. Please note, however, that we incur a small transaction fee for all online signups. That  amount will be subtracted from your refund.

For students wanting to cancel within 1 week of a class, please be aware that your tuition is non refundable. You can pass your spot on to a friend however, Just let us know in advance.
