Whether you are new to watercolor or already painting and experiencing the frustration of managing this medium; you will gain new skills during this series. This series will cover many of the critical skills needed by the watercolor artist to manage the paint better so you can enjoy your painting time.

Series focus includes:

• Color Mixing – how to get the color you want, fast.
• Pigment to water ratio. Pigment strength is a critically important skill in watercolor. Without this knowledge your paintings will look anemic and flat.
• Brush control- Find out what your brushes can do! You don’t need a ton of brushes to get the effect you desire. A few will do nicely.
• Deconstructing a scene for the best watercolor outcome.
• Special skills:
  • painting figures in watercolor scenes- the secret…less is more!
  • painting trees , bushes and foliage.
  • Adding cars and other “stuff” to give a scene energy, texture and life.
• Pulling it all together, the last class we will paint a scene bringing all these skills into focus.
