A Handbuilding Workshop-Create a Kitchen Utensil Container with Surface Decoration

Visiting Doyleston, PA Ceramicist Laurie Scupp will teach you how to hand build and decorate a container for kitchen utensils or whatever you need to store.  Using a white clay base and simple templates, you will learn how to easily create a container from a clay slab.   Laurie will share her creative process for storytelling through surface decoration and challenge participants to create meaningful visual content on their container using underglazes and carving techniques.
