A Ceramic Workshop: Handles, Feet, Embellishment and Texture Stamps with Helen Farrant

Come spend 3 hours learning about adding embellishments to your hand built or thrown pottery.  These key embellishments include handles, feet and other decorative clay additions.  Think about how important embellishments are to making a piece of pottery look good.  For example, your favorite cups, the ones you reach for most often, are the ones that feel like they were meant for your hands to hold them. The handles on them sit right and feel and look good.  But it can be a struggle to make a handle that looks good. Handles can so easily end up being too thick, too skinny, uncomfortable to hold or just plan old ugly.  This 1/2 day, hands on workshop will give you the tools to make handles that are just right.  Helen will also address adding feet on pottery and embellishments.  She will also teach you how to make your own personal texture stamps.
