8 Week April/May Beginner Wheel Throwing Series with Susan Palmer

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until May 19, 2022
This class is for beginner to advanced beginner wheel throwers. This class will introduce you to the basics of making and wedging balls of clay, centering, opening and pulling up the walls to form a cylinder. From a cylinder you are able to create almost any functional form including cups, bowls and vases. This class will also teach you how to trim and glaze your finished thrown piece. As an experienced thrower, you can explore altering thrown pieces, replicating thrown forms, and honing specific skills for a more productive studio practice.
Each 3 hour class will be followed by 1 hour of open studio time from 1-2pm for you to continue work on your projects.
One bag of clay and firing fee included in cost of class.
