Do you have a pair of jeans that you love, but they are worn through or they have a stain you can’t get out?  Do you have a pair of jeans that came with a hole in the knee and you’re just not a hole in the knee girl anymore? We can show you how to save them and make them a work of art with visual mending. This process includes patching, bore stitching, embroidery and more. Your mending  can be loud and fun or quiet and sophisticated…you decide. This 4 hour class will open a world of options to you for limiting your carbon footprint while learning a meditative, rewarding skill. We will sit together and slow stitch our way to newly rejuvenated pieces that will live on in our closets.

Sewer Jackie Pankuck, will show you a bunch of ways to repair your garments so that they are stronger and more beautiful than ever in this one day class.

Students will bring their denim garments (could be canvas, cotton, corduroy as well)  to be repaired; jeans, jackets, shirts, overalls, etc!  We will provide the materials that repair all kinds of fabrics; hand dyed boro threads, embroidery floss, a variety of threads and more. We can decide together what the best option is based on the garment and your style choice.  If you have any fabric that you would like to incorporate in your repair, feel free to bring it!
