Painting a Nocturne in Watercolor

It’s Winter and it’s dark, so we might as well paint nocturnes! Nocturnes have a special challenge as the value shifts are typically smaller. That makes it harder to create impact. We will paint this dramatic, Oldwick NJ scene. It’s a winter photo that was taken at 3am on a night with an incredible moon and misty fog. Artist, Jackie Pankuck took the photo and will take you through painting it step by step.
